How we handle your personal information

Last updated November 5, 2026. This page covers our website forms, our web server and analytics, and the information we handle when we look after your systems. We follow BC's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

Who is responsible

Bitlogix Technologies, Mission, BC, is responsible for the personal information described here. Questions, requests and complaints go to our privacy contact at hello@bitlogix.tech or +1 (778) 779-7127.

WhatWhy
Your name, email address and phone numberTo reply to you
Your business name, town, type of business and team sizeTo prepare for the conversation or assessment
The issue you would like us to review, and when you are availableTo plan the assessment
How you heard about us, if you tell usTo understand which of our outreach works

Each request is saved in our business system, hosted in Canada, where it is used to answer you and to prepare for the work you asked about.

What the website records

  • Server logs. Like every website, our server records each request: the address it came from, the time, the page and the browser. We use these to keep the site secure and working.
  • Essential cookies. Our website platform sets small cookies to keep the site working, remember your language and count visits to each page.
  • Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to see which pages are visited and how people find us. Google processes this data under its own privacy terms. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.

We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

When we look after your systems

  • We may see personal information stored in your systems, such as your staff's and customers' details, while we work. We access it only as needed for the work you authorize, and we do not use it for anything else. Some agreed work, such as a migration, a backup or testing, needs a copy of your data. We protect those copies, limit access to the people doing the work, and keep them only as long as the work requires or as agreed with you.
  • We keep business records about our clients: contacts, quotes, invoices and support history. These are kept in a business system we host ourselves in Canada.
  • We keep your information confidential and limit access to the people doing your work.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the service providers we use to run our business, such as our email, accounting and payment providers, and only as far as they need it to provide that service. Our email is provided by Apple iCloud Mail and Proton Mail, so emails you send us are stored with those providers on servers outside Canada. Our business system, which holds website requests and client records, is hosted in Canada. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

  • Requests that do not lead to work: deleted within 12 months.
  • Client records: kept for as long as we work together, then as long as tax law requires, which in Canada is generally six years.
  • Server logs: kept for one year from the date of access, for security and troubleshooting, then deleted.

How we protect it

We apply the same safeguards we set up for clients: multi-factor sign-in on our accounts, encrypted connections, current updates, access limited to the people who need it, and tested backups.

Your choices and rights

  • Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct it, or to delete it where we do not need to keep it by law.
  • Withdraw your consent to future use, for example for follow-up emails.

Send requests to hello@bitlogix.tech. We acknowledge every request within one business day and answer requests for access within the 30 business days PIPA sets, unless the Act allows more time, in which case we tell you why. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.

Changes to this page

If we change how we handle personal information, we update this page and the date at the top.

In short

  • We collect only what we need to reply and do the work.
  • We never sell personal information.
  • Our business system is hosted in Canada.
  • You can ask for a copy, a correction or deletion at any time.
